About the role
* Master’s degree student (M2) from an **Engineering School** 🎓 * A first successful experience (> 6 months in an internship or apprenticeship) working on **physical products** 🛠️ * Strong theoretical and practical foundation in **Purchasing, Sourcing, and Demand Planning**. Good command of Excel and GSuite/Notion tools. * Highly methodical, rigorous, proactive, and a great communicator. You are resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. * **Perfect fluency in French and Fluent English** (both written and spoken are mandatory for European sourcing) 🌍 *Work with Island is an equal opportunity employer. - Sourcing to Cost & Negotiation: Review, secure, and optimize the Bill of Materials (BOM) by finding alternative components, sourcing and qualifying new suppliers.
- Production Implementation & Process Optimization: Manage the integration and implementation of new components directly into the production line, and participate in optimizing the overall supply process.
- Quality Monitoring & Technical Compliance: Monitor supplier and factory quality performance, manage feedback loops, and update critical technical documentation.
