Position: Sr. Research Data Analyst (Ref: 18369) Location: Atlanta, GA USA, 30334 Salary: $53.76/hr. Duration: 1 Years 1 Months 3 Days - Contract Openings: 1 Deadline: 06/01/2026 Description: ***Local Candidates ***Hybrid We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst that performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in the functional area. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. • May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. • Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. • May administer or provide high-level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. • Assists with orientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior team members. • Provides strategic analysis. • Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision • Extract primary data from Oracle Database with the use of SQL • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports • Provide timely and accurate data to fulfill internal and external data requests • Identify, compile, and clean’ data for research projects • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets • Oversee evaluation and research projects • Communicate the evaluation plan and its details to leadership and stakeholders • Collaborate with external research partners to ensure understanding of data points and data sets • Develop and monitor internal and external data requests • Manage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data • Summarize and explain research findings and their implications • Prepare findings for publication • Develop, review, and abstract published research • Produce data visualization dashboards with Tableau QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years in a related lead or supervisory role OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience, Two years of which in a related lead or supervisory role OR Two years of experience at the lower level IT Business Analyst or position equivalent. • 5+ years of knowledge and experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.) • 5+ years of experience in accessing and extracting data from organizational and/or other institutional databases • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy • 2+ years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or Data • Management/Analysis • Proficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findings • Experience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau) Required / Desired Skills • Knowledge and experience with databases (SQL, Oracle, etc) Required - 5 Years • Experience in accessing and extracting data from organizational and/or other institutional databases Required - 5 Years • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail Required - 1 Years • Relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or Data Management/Analysis Required - 2 Years • Proficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findings Required - 3 Years • Experience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau) Required - 1 Years
