Position Title: Substitute Teacher Location: Bethel Local Schools / Tipp City, OH Employment Type: As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call Pay Rate: $125/Day Pay increase available for long-term substitute assignments based on consecutive days worked About the Role Dedicated School Staffing is seeking reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to support classrooms when regular teachers are absent. This position plays an important role in maintaining continuity of instruction, implementing lesson plans, and supporting students’ academic and behavioral success in a structured learning environment. Key Responsibilities Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment Provide clear instruction and support to students throughout the school day Adapt to a variety of grade levels, subjects, and classroom settings Take attendance and complete required documentation accurately Communicate professionally with school staff and administration Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Ohio substitute teaching license or higher teaching license (per state regulations) Passing criminal background checks with no disqualifying offenses Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow lesson plans and adjust to different classroom environments Professionalism, patience, and a student-focused approach Compliance with the Ohio Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Educators Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching, tutoring, or childcare experience Familiarity with classroom management techniques Experience working with diverse student populations What We Offer Flexible, as-needed scheduling Classroom experience across multiple grade levels and subjects Opportunities for long-term substitute assignments with increased pay Potential pathways to full-time teaching positions Access to optional basic medical benefits Enrollment in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS)
