Position: Packaging Team Lead Location: Near Woodbridge Environment: Food Manufacturing & Warehouse Plant Shift: Afternoon Shift (with some nights and weekends required) What You Will Do Lead & Monitor: Direct, monitor, and coach packaging line team members using basic presentation and leadership skills. Maintain Safety: Perform pre-operational checks for safety, ensure proper PPE is worn, and act as a Fire Warden for your assigned team. Document Quality: Perform line quality checks (CCP documentation, control charts, weight checks) and manage data entry using the Navision system. Streamline Operations: Manage material and finished product flow in the packaging area adhering strictly to the FIFO method. Troubleshoot: Interface with operators to resolve minor mechanical and packaging equipment problems. What We Look For Education: Secondary school education is preferred. Experience: Familiarity with HACCP policies, food safety regulations, and GMP rules. Core Skills: Strong basic math skills (decimals, percentages, arithmetic, and graphs) and minimum Grade 10 reading/writing proficiency. Allergen Awareness: Specific training on food allergens and gluten cross-contamination risks is required. Versatility: Must be able to step in and perform all standard packaging tasks to cover team breaks when necessary. Working Conditions Collaborative, team-based atmosphere within a high-standard food production plant. Environment involves moderate noise and temperature levels. Requires occasional travel as needed.
