Facilities Maintenance Technician Location: Longwood, FL Department: Facilities Maintenance Reports To: Facilities Manager Pay: $16 per hour Schedule: 1st Shift Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM To schedule an interview immediately, call Nily at (407) 896-2150. We are hiring now! Position Overview We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to help inspect, repair, and maintain the company building, grounds, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance experience and be comfortable working with various hand and power tools. This role supports the overall operation by ensuring the facility and equipment remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inspect, repair, and maintain the building, grounds, and equipment. Perform general repairs including flooring, drywall, painting, plumbing, and landscaping. Replace light bulbs and repair light fixtures as needed. Change air conditioner filters, belts and oil motors as required. Collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste and transport it to designated areas. Assist with building and installing equipment and appliances. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. Load and unload equipment or incoming materials when necessary. Collaborate with the maintenance team and outside contractors. Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and written instructions when needed. Operate tools including hand tools, power tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools. Maintain maintenance logs and documentation of repairs and inspections. Perform preventative maintenance tasks. Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company procedures and safety regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1+ year of maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrical experience preferred (not required) Ability to read measuring instruments and schematics Strong communication skills; bilingual candidates are a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, and standing Ability to work in hot or cold environments Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
