Patient Access Representative

📍 Locations: Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore, CA (within a 2–7 mile radius)

📌 Work Setting: Onsite | Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Lab/Radiology

About the Role

We’re looking for a customer-focused and adaptable Patient Access Representative to join a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—helping ensure a smooth, supportive experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check patients in and out for appointments
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Collect co-pays and document payment information
• Verify and enter patient demographic and insurance information
• Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries
• Manage paperwork and perform general clerical duties
• Communicate important information to medical staff

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (Emergency Department experience is a plus)
• Flexible schedule availability (critical for success in this role)

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in patient registration, urgent care, or radiology settings

Schedule & Availability

This position requires 24/7 availability, as shifts may be scheduled on weekdays and/or weekends.

• Monthly schedule provided about 2 weeks in advance
• No set weekly schedule (days may vary)
• 8-hour shifts
• Earliest start: 4:00 AM
• Latest start: 4:30 PM
• No overnight shifts
• Minimum 12 hours between shifts

Days Off:

• 4 days off per 2-week pay period
• Goal is 2 consecutive days off when possible
• If you have a weekend off, weekday days off may be split (non-consecutive)

Work Environment

• Rotating between three nearby facilities (Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore)
• Exposure to a variety of departments, including:
  • Emergency Department
  • Urgent Care
  • Lab and Radiology

This is a Contract position based out of Pleasanton, CA.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
