Join Liberty Global as a Senior Manager of Accounting Policy. In this role, you will provide technical accounting and accounting policy oversight, with a focus on M&A opportunities, global accounting policy adoption, and compliance with SEC and US GAAP rules. You will also assist with special projects and back-filling roles in the financial reporting and consolidations teams. This is a highly demanding role that requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage changing priorities.

About the role

- Master or Bachelor of Accounting or other relevant field - CPA or equivalent - Approximately 9 to 15 years of experience working in accounting field in a dynamic multinational environment. Prefer experienced senior manager at a large public accounting firm or equivalent level of experience - Very strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to clearly articulate complex issues to senior management and, at the same time, have productive accounting discussions with non-accountants - Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting principles - Able to manage changing priorities, others’ expectations and workload under deadline pressures that may involve additional hours during quarter end - Attentive to detail to ensure high degree of accuracy - Courteous with a collaborative and flexible working style - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with diverse range of people from various disciplines within the business - Experience with resolving complex accounting issues and transactions

Key missions

  • Oversight and assistance with local country operations, addressing corporate matters and technical financial reporting matters.
  • Responsibility over accounting policy assessments on M&A opportunities and integrations, and global accounting policy adoption for new rules and standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining Liberty Global accounting policies, maintaining oversight over the adoption and compliance with those policies.
