A leading and rapidly growing food manufacturing company in Inchicore, Dublin 12, D12 R859 are now looking to recruit a Night Shift Production Supervisor on a full-time permanent basis. The shift will be 5 days per week rotating over 7 days of operation. This role is 40 hours per week. Typical hours are 11:00 pm to 07:30 am.
Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate and develop the production team.
Manage team of up to 20 staff including performance, hiring, scheduling, holidays etc.
Ensure there are adequate skills, provide training & coaching for team members.
Ensure there are robust open communication forums & feedback mechanisms
Ensure forecasted production volume is delivered on time, to specification and at optimum cost in line with targeted manufacturing KPIs.
Work with Quality Control to continuously improve quality control standards and good manufacturing practices.
Drive lean principles, continuous improvement and KPI awareness across teams.
Work closely with Supply Chain to optimise production schedule and work force planning to achieve labour costs targets.
Working with the Head of Operations to implement a production strategy, reviewing long term forecasts ensuring that production capacity and resources are in place and in line with business demands.
Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.
Work with Quality Control to continuously improve quality control standards and good manufacturing practices.
You will need:
Excellent communication, time management, organisation, and presentation skills.

Flexible mindset understanding the requirements of working in the FMCG category.
Ability to form relationships with stakeholders and work with cross functional teams, up to and including board level.
Production management experience (ideally within the food industry, with knowledge and experience of fresh food production).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw materials, Lean management, continuous improvement, commercial business strategy, finance management, budget management, human resource principles and health and safety compliance.
Excellent IT skills
Good command of the English language
Salary 38K+ per annum
