NDT LEVEL 2 SPECIALIST – BASE MAINTENANCE In order to meet the company’s ambitious growth plans an opportunity now exists for an NDT Level 2 Specialist in the Base Maintenance facility at Dublin Airport. Reporting to the NDT Manager, the successful candidate’s duties will include: • Ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard and is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery requirements of the customer; • Using the IT systems available as directed throughout the department to log the work they complete; • Ensuring that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis; • Ensuring that the area they work in is kept clean and in an orderly condition; • Adhering to all company, regulatory and Health and Safety procedures; • Reporting all relevant issues through the Safety Management System. Essential Requirements: • Qualified to EN4179 Level 2 in Penetrant Testing (PT), Eddy Current Testing (ET) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT). Qualifications must have been gained through an Outside Agency accredited by a member state of the Aerospace NANDTB Forum. • Recent documented experience of NDT inspection on Airbus and Boeing aircraft. • Have a working knowledge of aircraft structures and product technology. • A willingness to travel abroad for training purposes. • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. • Ability to read and interpret specifications and technical instructions from the relevant manuals. • Ability to work within a team and on their own initiative, be self-motivated and flexible in their approach to work. • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills. • Willingness to up-skill and recertify on an on-going basis. • A good sense of commercial awareness. Desired Requirements: • In addition to the requirement to be qualified in PT, ET & UT, preference will be given to persons also qualified to EN4179 level 2 in Radiographic Testing (RT), Thermographic Testing (IRT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) with recent documented experience in the methods • A good knowledge of an MRO computer system.
