JOB SUMMARY Responsible for manufacturing of various metal enclosures, assemblies, structures, and complex machinery in preparation of final assembly, must be versatile and willing to work on various tasks within the scope of work Responsibilities include: Constructing metal assemblies, ranging from intricate to large complex structures Fastening parts using bolts, screws, rivets, etc. Assembling both finished products and the pieces that go into them Reading and understanding blueprints to determine how to connect parts and use correct hardware Using tools, machinery, and hands to assist in the manufacturing process Cutting, aligning, and fitting together structural metal parts Riveting pieces together Caulking, paint prep, and final assembly of enclosure to tank and or sub frame and any trim or accessories installed Cleaning and preparing unit for completion Cleaning and organizing one’s work area on a daily basis Additional items as assigned by manager PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY This position interacts with shop supervisors, other assemblers, project managers and engineers. COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS Must maintain a safe work ethic and follow shop safety rules Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, assembly instructions and measuring devices Must be mechanically inclined and have skills in metal construction Must be able to work in a team environment as well as on his/her own Must be able to complete projects in a timely fashion and to meet schedules and ship dates All Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor’s core values of being: Customer Focused Passionate about Work Solution Oriented Driven by Integrity EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent is required Tech / Vocational training is preferred Any certificates or welding skills are preferred
