Position: Plant Logistics Manager
Role: Fulltime

Summary:
A strong logistics leader with deep experience in automotive manufacturing, capable of managing large teams and ensuring seamless material flow. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in JIT/JIS delivery, line feeding, and internal logistics operations, with the ability to drive efficiency, prevent production disruptions, and lead in a high-growth environment. The Manager, Line Delivery & Sequencing is responsible for leading inhouse logistics operations supporting assembly production. This role ensures that parts are delivered Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) to the production line, enabling uninterrupted, high-volume manufacturing. The position oversees large teams, drives process optimization, and ensures operational excellence in material flow and sequencing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inhouse Logistics & Operations Leadership
Build and lead inhouse logistics operations for assembly shop
Manage a large workforce ( 200+ blue-collar staff across 3 shifts + specialists)
Ensure seamless parts sequencing and line feeding operations
2. Material Flow & Sequencing
Oversee JIT and JIS delivery processes to production lines
Manage internal material flow including:
- Line feeding
- Supermarkets (picking & staging)
- Internal transport (tuggers, AGVs, forklifts)
Ensure continuous supply to prevent production downtime
3. Process & Systems Implementation
Design and implement logistics processes and workflows
Develop material flow strategies and routing (tugger routes, transport concepts)
Maintain accuracy in systems (including VW Group systems / SAP)
4. Performance & Continuous Improvement
Establish KPIs and monitor operational performance
Lead problem-solving initiatives and implement corrective actions
Drive optimization to improve efficiency, cost, and throughput
5. Team Management & Development
Lead hiring, training, and workforce planning
Manage both direct employees and outsourced personnel
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and performance
6. Budget & Inventory Management
Manage departmental budgets and cost optimization
Oversee inventory (full containers, empties, cycle counts)
Ensure resource allocation aligns with production needs
7. Safety & Compliance
Ensure safe operations and compliance with environmental and quality standards
Maintain adherence to quality systems (ISO, VDA, etc.)

Must-Have Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in automotive logistics or production environments
3+ years of leadership experience managing large teams
Strong experience with:
- Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery
- Just-in-Sequence (JIS) operations
- Inhouse material flow & line feeding
Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing
Knowledge of internal transport systems (tuggers, AGVs, forklifts)
Experience developing logistics processes and strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO, VDA)
Experience working in greenfield or startup manufacturing environments
