Job description: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Pay: From $16.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person (401 W. Academy St., Fuquay Varina, NC 27526) Company Overview At SSD Southeast Inc., we manufacture high quality cable assemblies and wire harnesses in a climate controlled environment. We are seeking a dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations by managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring all materials are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately. Duties Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage. Store received materials in designated locations and update inventory records accurately. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to requirements. Package items securely and apply shipping labels. Maintain bills of lading, invoices, and packing slips. Identify and report damaged goods during receiving or packaging. Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse (as required). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Experience Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Forklift experience is preferred but not required. On the job training provided. Skills Ability to lift heavy boxes and perform physical tasks throughout the day. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when verifying quantities and labeling. Mandatory attendance Monday Friday, with occasional overtime and Saturday shifts as needed. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory updates. Ability to read and write in English to interpret shipping documents, inventory records, and system instructions. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
