JOB BRIEF: The primary responsibility of the HOUSEKEEPER involved is to set up apartments for new clients, and making sure the apartment is clean before setting up the houseware. Each unit must be perfect and super clean. The HOUSEKEEPER will also clean the corporate office, clean make ready’s, maid service, dismantling units, making sure all houseware, sheets, towels, blankets, comforters, sheets are washed and clean, and put in its proper place. Housekeepers must clean the basement/storage, organize and keep it always clean.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Clean the Corporate Office.
2) Clean and maintain the storage room.
3) Make sure to check the calendar and board for setups and dismantles.
4) Make sure to pull for new setups the day before.
5) Clean and maintain the storage and laundry room.
6) Perform additional duties if requested by Hope Sierra.
7) Inform Hope Sierra of cleaning supply and houseware running low before you run out.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet all physical requirements, being able to lift 30 50 pounds, climb stairs, and be able to take direction.
Equipment Requirements: Mops, brooms, vacuum cleaner, scrubber, step stool, small ladder, screwdriver, and other miscellaneous hand tools. Employees are required to wear gloves as tasks dictate.
Work Hours: 40 hours per week. Weekly schedule may change as required. It may be necessary to work out of town.
Equipment: Any Employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of cleaning fluids and tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1) Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to be on your feet.
2) Have constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to perform the following
Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel Perform routine cleaning, maid service, reset, setting up unit and dismantling units.
Climb Stairs Routine cleaning, setting up and dismantling units require access to 2nd and 3rd floor apartments.
Push, Lift or Pull Move furniture, appliances, lift plastic tubs w/housewares, open and close doors, etc.
Reach above shoulder Perform routine cleaning duties, setting up, and dismantling duties.
Grasp/Grip/Turning Handle cleaning tools and equipment.
Lifting/carrying (cleaning supplies, vacuum, step stool, tubs, houseware, etc.)
50-75lbs Occasional need (1% - 33% of the time)
1-50lbs Constant need (66% =- 100% of the time)
3) Required to handle cleaning chemicals. Certain cleaning chemicals may require pre-mixing.
VISION REQUIREMENTS
1) Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to observe areas needing attention.
2) Read cautionary labels: respond to written instructions from staff.
3) Frequent need (33% to 60% of the time) to see things clearly beyond arm’s reach. Observe apartments, observe problems throughout the apartment. See if work orders need to be called in.
HEARING REQUIREMENTS
1) Essential. Frequent need (66% to 100% of the time) to receive instructions from Management. Written instructions should be acceptable.
SPEAKING REQUIREMENTS
1) Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to verbally communicate with management and clients.
WORKING ENBVIROMENT
1) Indoors (66% to 100% of the time) occasionally working outdoors (1% to 33% of the time).
2) Exposure (66% to 100% of the time) to cleaning chemicals.
REASONING DEVELMONT
Moderate. Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may occasionally invoice minor deviations. Needs ability to think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions.
