Shopmy is a social commerce platform that enables small businesses and entrepreneurs to set up and operate online shops directly through social media channels like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Mexico City, the company targets underserved merchants in emerging markets across Latin America and Southeast Asia who lack access to traditional e-commerce infrastructure. Shopmy reduces barriers to online selling by integrating directly into the messaging and social platforms where customers already spend time, allowing entrepreneurs without technical expertise to accept payments and manage inventory through familiar interfaces. The platform addresses a significant gap in financial inclusion and digital commerce access for informal economy workers and small merchants.
