SecurityScorecard provides continuous security ratings and visibility into organizational cybersecurity posture. Founded in 2013 by Aleksandr Yampolskiy and Sam Kassoumeh, the company is headquartered in New York City with approximately 750 employees. The platform assigns objective, data-driven security ratings to organizations, helping enterprises understand their own security profile and assess the risk posed by vendors and third parties. SecurityScorecard serves mid-market to large enterprises across financial services, technology, healthcare, and government sectors. The company is privately held and has grown substantially as cybersecurity and vendor risk management have become boardroom priorities. A key differentiator is their continuous, automated assessment model rather than point-in-time evaluations, establishing them as a leader in the emerging security ratings and third-party risk management category.
