Redis is an in-memory data structure store that powers caching, real-time analytics, session management, message queues, and other demanding workloads at global scale. The open source Redis project was created by Salvatore Sanfilippo in 2009 and became the industry standard for in-memory data access. Redis Labs, founded in 2011 to commercialize and host Redis, went public on NASDAQ in 2021 (ticker REDIS) and now operates as Redis. The company serves thousands of developers and enterprises including major tech, financial services, and retail organizations. Redis has 800+ employees across San Francisco, Tel Aviv, New York, and London and continues to invest in cloud-native deployment, enterprise features, and expanding its addressable market for real-time applications.
