Human Resources Intern (Part-Time)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Intern to support our HR team with recruiting, onboarding, employee administration, and HR operations. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple HR functions and is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Work Schedule: 20 hours per week
Location: on-site in Milpitas, CA
Core Duties:
Recruitment & Interview Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Communicate with candidates and management throughout the recruitment process
- Assist with candidate tracking and recruitment administration
- Support pre-employment activities, including background checks and employment documentation
Onboarding & New Hire Support
- Prepare onboarding materials and required employment documents
- Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation sessions
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees
HR Administration
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding
- Assist with HR documentation, filing, and record retention
- Respond to routine employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the HR team
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous administrative or internship experience is a plus
- Familiarity with the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now, SAP) and recruitment processes is preferred
