Purchasing and Inventory Executive
- Location: 45 Jalan Pemimpin (nearest MRT Marymount (5 mins walk), Bishan (8 mins walk)
- Working hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Mondays to Fridays
- Report to: Purchasing and Inventory Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
This individual will work closely with the Purchasing and Inventory Manager and will cover some of her duties when she is on leave.
RESPONSIBILITY
1. Purchasing
- Check suppliers’ confirmation orders against our PO issued.
- Liaise with forwarders on shipping departure and arrival dates of standard POs.
- Monitoring of the arrival of indent orders and sample requests.
- Maintaining a timetable of shipment arrivals.
- Broadcasting ETA details (including indent orders & samples) in ashared file.
- Receiving items into SAP with accurate details.
- Prepare monthly marine cargo insurance declaration.
- Provide monthly ETA schedules of FCL arrivals.
- Preparation of product labels when needed.
2. Inventory Management
- Conduct random inventory checks on selected items to ensure accuracy of stock position.
- Liaise with the Warehouse team on inventory discrepancies and rectify.
- Prepare a monthly clearance list for items with shorter remaining shelf life (after physical check).
- Prepare a monthly report for review by the Managing Director and Finance.
- SAP adjustments – stock repacking, non-sales inventory movements e.g. samples issued, damaged items, stocks over- or short-supplied. etc.
- Update SAP with inventory repacking.
- Assist in year-end stock take preparation and updating of stock count results. This may extend beyond normal working hours and is reimbursed for the overtime with Off-In-Lieu.
EXPERIENCE
- The candidate must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in Purchasing and Inventory
- Knowledge of SAP, Incoterms, MS Office, esp. Excel (Intermediate)
- Working experience in the food industry will be an advantage.
