We are seeking an experienced HVDC Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning activities for HVDC converter stations, substations, and associated power transmission systems.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable commissioning, testing, energization, and handover of HVDC infrastructure projects while working closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Execute commissioning plans for HVDC converter stations and associated systems Perform testing, validation, and verification of HVDC equipment and control systems Support energization activities and system startup procedures Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and startup phases Coordinate site teams, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders Review commissioning procedures, test protocols, and technical documentation Support FAT, SAT, site testing, and system integration activities Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and commissioning procedures Prepare commissioning reports and support project handover activities Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Experience working on HVDC transmission or large-scale power transmission projects Strong understanding of power systems, substations, converter stations, and commissioning practices Experience with testing, commissioning, and energization activities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and coordination abilities Fluent English, both written and spoken Willingness and ability to travel internationally and work on project sites
