The Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across various departments and roles, ensuring that the organisation is staffed with a diverse and talented workforce. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building relationships, utilising creative sourcing strategies, and fostering a supportive and inclusive hiring process for all candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and attract diverse and qualified candidates
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing to offer acceptance
- Form relationships with hiring managers and teams to understand their hiring needs and goals
- Use technology and tools to simplify the recruitment process and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the specific needs of each role and develop targeted recruitment strategies
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by crafting inclusive job descriptions, sourcing diverse talent pools, and implementing unbiased screening processes
- Utilise various sourcing techniques (e.g., social media, job boards, employee referrals, networking events) to identify and engage passive and active candidates
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the entire recruitment process, providing a positive and inclusive candidate experience
- Conduct pre-screening interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, providing feedback and guidance throughout the decision-making process
- Negotiate and extend job offers, ensuring a smooth and professional onboarding experience
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and candidate experience
- Maintain accurate and organised documentation of recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Represent Cumbrian Water at industry events, career fairs, and networking functions to establish a strong employer brand and attract top talent
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Human Resource Practice or equivalent qualification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations is desirable
- Ability to prioritise and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
- Desirable: CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management or experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)

- Salary range: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
