We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at EDE. This new apartment community features 350 units close to the bustle and vibe of Downtown Frederick. The Maintenance Technician role involves ensuring the upkeep and functionality of apartment facilities, contributing significantly to resident satisfaction and the overall property condition.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks across the property.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as needed.
- Conduct inspections of premises and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize maintenance and repair tasks.
Required skills:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Certification in HVAC or other relevant trade is a plus.
- Availability to be on call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Meet the physical demands to perform the duties of the position to include: mobility required to move about the property, climb stairs, lift appliances and tools, stretch, bend, kneel, ability to hear occasional loud noises, among others.
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds.
