Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to support our teaching team in delivering high-quality early learning programs. The ECEA will work under the supervision of a licensed Early Childhood Educator. Key Responsibilities • Assist in designing and implementing a structured daily schedule that supports children’s developmental needs. • Prepare and select appropriate teaching materials and learning resources to enhance classroom experiences. • Provide attentive basic care, including supervision, meal assistance, hygiene support, and rest routines. • Lead open-ended learning experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and problem-solving. • Observe, guide, and support children in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment at all times. • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism when communicating with families, while upholding the policies and guidelines of the centre. • Document children’s learning experiences and developmental progress on a regular basis. • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistency and quality of care. Qualifications • Valid ECEA Certificate (BC recognized). • Current First Aid & CPR Certification. • Valid Criminal Record Check. • Strong communication skills in English. • Previous childcare experience is an asset. • Patient, responsible, and team oriented.
