Job Description

We are looking for a highly-skilled and innovative Software Engineer to play a key role in building and maintaining our web automation platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining technologies to allow us to interact with health insurance organizations on behalf of our members. As an early member of the team, you will help build upon the early stages of the platform and help set the direction and culture of the company going forward.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure web interaction systems through automation platforms such as Playwright.

  • Engineer autonomous agents that leverage cutting-edge models to intelligently navigate dynamic content and complex workflows.

  • Optimize performance, reliability, and availability through ongoing monitoring, testing, and code improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and services.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, system design, and security.

  • Continuously improve our technology stack and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on fullstack engineering.

  • Strong proficiency in NodeJS and a backend framework like Go or Java.

  • Familiarity with web development technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.

  • Experience with browser automation with frameworks such as Playwright or Puppeteer.

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts around how web applications communicate with servers and usage of proxies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • In office in New York City Monday-Thursday - not a remote position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare domain, particularly with medical claims and clinical data.

  • Familiarity with other programming languages and technologies.
