Business Address: LE GROUP PTY LIMITED Beaconsfield St Fyshwick, ACT 2609 Position Title: Full-time Cook Salary: $76,515 + Superannuation GMD Canberra, a leading provider of fresh, ready-to-eat meals, is seeking an experienced and innovative Cook to join its growing production kitchen. Known for delivering nutritious, chef-prepared meals made from scratch, GMD Canberra caters to a diverse customer base with a focus on health, convenience, and quality ingredients. This role is ideal for a Cook who is passionate about food preparation, consistency, and working within a structured production kitchen. Tasks include: • Prepare, cook, and portion meals in accordance with established recipes and production schedules • Assist in the preparation of a variety of dishes across multiple cuisines in a high-volume setting • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion control across all meals • Operate and monitor kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, and bulk cooking appliances • Store food safely in temperature-controlled facilities and follow food safety standards • Assist with food preparation for special dietary requirements as directed • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in line with hygiene regulations • Support stock rotation, storage, and inventory control within the kitchen • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet daily production targets • Minimise food wastage through efficient preparation and storage practices • Follow instructions from the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff Skill level required: • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Cook, preferably in a high-volume kitchen • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions How to apply: Applications open on 20 April 2026 and close on 20 May 2026.
